Today, TAG Heuer released a Carrera Chronograph to celebrate Jack Heuer on his 88th birthday.

The Carrera Jack Heuer Gold Limited Edition features a 42 mm solid 18K rose gold case with a silver opaline dial and dual black sunray brushed counters like the Ref. 1158CHN which TAG Heuer loosely based this modern Carrera on.

Gold-plated applied indices and gold-plated hands indicate the time and chronograph elapsed time. The date at 6 o’clock also has a gold-plated frame. Just under the center hand stack, a gold-plated “88”  has been applied in a vertical orientation to pay homage to Jack Heuer.

TAG Heuer’s ubiquitous caliber Heuer 02 power the functions for up 80-hours. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the oscillating weight is engraved with Jack Heuer’s motto “Time never stops, why should we?”.

Each Carrera Jack Heuer Gold Limited Edition has a special numbered limited-edition engraving XXX/188. A black alligator strap bears Jack Heuer’s signature in gold lettering with a gold pin buckle is paired with the watch. Water-resistance is rated to 100 meters. (Ref. CBN2041.FC8306)

This 2020 tribute timepiece will be open for pre-orders from 19 November 2020 and will be available in TAG Heuer boutiques and online in February 2021.

Retail is $18,450.
