Seiko debuted the Presage Sharp Edged Series in 2020, and for 2021 they will add a second watch to the collection.

The Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Series SPB205 maintains the same dimensions as the original model at 39.3 mm x 11.1 mm. And while the case and bracelet remain in stainless steel — the material has been enhanced with a virtually scratch-proof super-hard black coating.

A new brown-black dial, with the same stamped hemp leaf pattern as the 2020 Presage Sharp Edged, contrasted by gilt luminous Dauphine-shaped hour and minute hands, luminous applied indices and Seiko logo, and an arrow-shaped center seconds hand. Matching the rest of the dial — hours, minutes, and second graduations have been printed on the flange in gold-colored paint.

Seiko’s high-end 24-jewel automatic caliber 6R35 movement, which beats at 3Hz, drives the time and date, and has a 70-hour power reserve, with hacking seconds and manual winding ability.

A sapphire crystal protects the dial. A sapphire crystal also allows a view of the movement on the caseback. Water-resistance is rated to 100 meters. Shown on the three-fold clasp with push-button release. A black calfskin leather strap is included, in addition to the bracelet.

Limited to 4,000 pieces, the Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Series SPB205 will be available in February at Seiko Boutiques and selected Seiko retailers worldwide, and available in the United States starting April 1, 2021. Retail is $1,150.
