Flying is not en vogue right now, for obvious reasons. But business must go on, and people will continue to travel by air, even if the volume of air travel does not return to pre-pandemic levels.
Already set in motion prior to the pandemic, Omega’s new destination boutique — situated in The Circle at the Zurich Airport — is now open for business.
The Circle was designed by architect Riken Yamamoto and represents a new shopping district with food, events, offices, and stores. In addition to the commercial retail and office space, the location includes two Hyatt Regency hotels, a Convention center, and a hospital. And it can be accessed as easily by locals — via car, train, and tram — as tourists who are traveling. After all, Zurich the largest airport in Switzerland, an international travel hub within Switzerland’s largest city.
Omega’s new boutique is situated on two floors, over approximately 8,600 square feet (representing Omega’s largest boutique in Europe), and has the company’s signature global boutique color scheme — but with a new “architectural flair.”
Glass walls surround the front three-sides of the sophisticated modern boutique, providing a light-filled modern look and offering a peek into the world of Omega, even for those who are just passing by. And for those, who have the time to come in and learn about Omega, there’s not only a full collection of Omega watches on display, there’s also a more private lounge upstairs to relax, discuss watches, and buy a watch if you’re so inclined.
Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA says, “The Circle is a very forward-thinking project and we are really inspired by its spirit of combining business with lifestyle. As a pioneering luxury Swiss brand ourselves, OMEGA sees it as a great opportunity to be part of something unique, and we really share their vision of creating a truly special experience.”
