Baume, a one-year-old brand owned by the Richemont group, recently co-designed a watch with the NOUS concept store in Paris, which is a retailer that has carried the brand since its inception last year. The Baume NOUS timepiece is 41 mm in diameter and comes in a black aluminum case. Unique to this edition, the dial has the NOUS concept store logo: a fingerprint with the company’s “For Us and By Us” slogan. The back of the watch is engraved with the NOUS logo. And the strap features a design exclusive to this timepiece. Retail is $635.
Mayors, a longstanding chain of 15 watch/jewelry stores in Florida and Georgia – that was purchased by the Watches of Switzerland Group in 2017 – has opened its first newly redesigned flagship store. Mayors Lennox Square in Atlanta features a dedicated Rolex area, with a separate entrance, as well as collections from TAG Heuer, Omega, Cartier, Breitling, and jewelry including Mayors Bridal and High Jewelry collections.
This week German-based watchmaker Junghans introduced a 1000-piece limited edition of the Max Bill Chronoscope. The 41 mm x 14.4 mm stainless steel case features an anthracite matte PVD coating, a matte white dial, and is highlighted by red hands and a red date wheel, which are all a nod to the Bauhaus school of design, which famous designer, Max Bill, attended in the 1920s. An ETA 7750 drives the hours, minutes, date, and chronograph, and is partially visible through the Bauhaus school building depicted on the caseback. Retail is $2,295.
Last week, Breitling announced a new collaboration with the IRONMAN group which consists of a number of events such as triathlons, bicycles races, and more. For the partnership, Breitling created a limited edition version of their Superocean dive watch. The Superocean Ironman Limited Edition is housed in a 44 mm diameter stainless steel case, with a specially colored red Diver Pro III rubber strap, and most notably has the “IRONMAN” logo on the dial at 3 o’clock.
