Seiko unveiled a six-piece limited edition collection this week in collaboration with Capcom, makers of the iconic video games series, Street Fighter, that dates back to 1987. The watches are based on the 42 mm diameter version of the popular entry-level Seiko 5 Sports timepiece that was first introduced in 2019. Each of the Seiko 5 Sports Street Fighter Limited Editions has been custom designed around six main characters (Guile, Blanka, Zangief, Ryu, Chun-Li, and Ken) from the latest Street Fighter V video game. $440

Girard-Perregaux Quasar Azure

This month, Girard-Perregaux debuted the Quasar Azure which comes in a new 46 mm diameter blue sapphire crystal case and features a tourbillon supported by one of the three lightweight titanium bridges. The watch is limited to 8 pieces. $274,000

2020 Accutron DNA watch

Accutron introduced a new technologically innovative watch this week which comes in a 45.1 mm x 15.6 mm stainless steel case and features a new electrostatic movement. Electrostatic power is generated by twin turbines that rotate based on wrist motion — that are visible on the dial rotating at incredibly high speeds — this energy is stored in an accumulator which releases the power via two motors. One that drives the continuous second hand and the other that powers the hour and minute hands. $3,300

G-Shock Ladies GMS5600

G-Shock released an all-new metal-covered version of the 5000 Series designed for ladies and those with smaller wrists. The GMS5600 collection comes in four color combinations including two with rose gold cases and bezels, one in yellow gold, and one in steel. All four variations come with an integrated resin strap. The G-Shock Ladies GMS5600 measures 43.8 mm x 38.4 mm x 10.9 mm and weighs just 50 grams. $180
