Seiko just quietly released a trio of Special Edition blue whale wave patterned dial Prospex watches, with a black steel finish, available exclusively on their website.

A Special Edition Blue Whale Wave Pattern Turtle version (Ref. SRPC91), introduced last year in a steel case and rubber strap for $495, is listed as “Sold Out.”

The one that stands out most among the three is the Blue Whale Wave Pattern Turtle (Ref. SRPD11) which has the standard 45 mm diameter Turtle case with the Special Edition blue whale dial and a new matte Black Ion treated stainless steel case and bracelet, with what appears to be polished silver contrasting accents on the center of the links.

The watch is powered by the same caliber 4R36 automatic movement with manual winding capabilities that runs at 3Hz, has 24 jewels, and a 41-hour power reserve as seen in other Turtle watches, such as the SRPA21 PADI version we reviewed here, and the Gilt Turtle SRP 775 reviewed here.

Retail is $575.
