Seiko unveiled 27 references yesterday as part of their newly redesigned 2019 Seiko 5 Sports collection.

The dial features large applied luminescent indices. The hour hand is sword-shaped, the minute hand is arrow-tipped, and the seconds hand has a lollipop-shaped counterweight. The bezel is steel, with an aluminum insert matching the dial color, and rotates unidirectionally. A Hardlex mineral crystal with sapphire coating. The crown placement is at 4 o’clock and is screw-down. The caseback is solid and screws in. Water-resistance is rated to 100 meters.

To maintain the excellent price point, the cases and some components are manufactured in China, and as mentioned above the crystal is made of Hardlex, not a sapphire.
