At the Antiquorum Import Modern & Vintage Timepieces auction tomorrow in New York, there will be a rare 1960s large thin stainless steel watch from Longines for sale. The Longines Ref. 7165 comes with an ivory colored enamel dial with applied pink gold dart indexes, a printed outer minute track, a crosshair small second display at 6 o’clock, and pink gold dauphine hands.

The steel case measures 38 mm in diameter by 9 mm thick and features both polished and brushed surfaces, concave lugs and a snap-on case back. Inside, is M. Cal. 30L hand wound movement with 17 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber and a self-compensating flat balance spring.

Estimate is $3,500 – $5,500. Lot 138.
