Hublot and Spanish Football Team

Hublot_Euro_fr.jpg

[ via Hublot ]

Hublot's campaign within the scope of Euro 2008 was a runaway success; its partnership deal with the Spanish football team signed at the beginning of June is all the more successful in the light of Spain's victory last Sunday.

Following its debut in the world of football with the Swiss team, then its engagement as the "official watch" of Euro 2008, Hublot linked up with the Mexican Football Federation and latterly with the Spanish team, now winner of the title! We like to think that the watch we created for the Spanish Federation brought them luck.

Big Bang 44 mm mechanical chronograph, black ceramic case and bezel, matt black dial with red appliqué index markers, FEF logo at 9 o'clock, Spanish flag on the case edge, limited edition 250 pieces.

Hublot Big Bang in Ironman Movie

Robert_Downey_as_Iron_Man.jpg

[ via Hublot ]

I just watched the new Ironman movie and it was excellent. As far as watches it definitely featured a Hublot Big Bang and a Bvlgari chronograph. I think there was also a Breitling and a few other watches that I could not distinguish. Most importantly the Hublot Big Bang with a blue dial with a gold or tungsten case. My guess would be a Tungsten case like in the new Hublot Bullet Bang. The tungsten alloy that is used on the Bullet Bang is the same type of metal used for tank bullets (Tungsten Tank Ammunition) , hence the name "Bullet Bang". It would make sense that they placed a watch with this kind of material in a movie such as this, but I cannot be sure because the dial was blue instead of black. RDJ used palladium to create the source to power his suit, so I would have liked to see the Big Bang King that uses palladium.

One Million Dollar Big Bang by HUBLOT

hublotmillion__.jpg

The Hublot One Million Dollar Diamond Big Bang is already sold, but the owner was nice enough to allow Hublot to display it at their Baselworld booth this year. Of course it was under the condition that it would be protected by a self-concealing Raptor Alarm system. TimeZone.com "Hublot" moderator Amir raised the watch for about a minute so we could snap some pics and then lowered it right away. [UPDATE: Hit the jump for the rest of the pics]

Baselworld Press Day 2008

baseljewelry__.jpg

[ via Baselworld ]

Today was press day at Baselworld 2008 and most importantly, the opening of all watch halls. Here are a few of my favorite watches so far, as well as a few shots of the show. Five more pics after the jump. Many more pics to come.......... Oh by the way the fish tank image is part of the Breitling booth and the pic does not do it justice-- the tank is suspended two stories in the air and looks unreal for a display that is only temporary.

Big Bang All Black Tourbillon by HUBLOT

[ via Hublot ]

Hublot's Big Bang All Black Tourbillon is one of their most exclusive watches introduced in 2007. I cannot wait to see what they will do for 2008. This limited edition Big Bang has a 44.5 mm diameter case, which has a satin black ceramic finish. The bezel has the same treatment and the screws are made of titanium. The clasp is a black PVD steel. This tourbillon utilizes many different materials for a great look. There are only 50 available worldwide, and I am sure they cost a lot.

Big Bang Yankee Victor by HUBLOT

[ via Hublot ]

Hublot introduced numerous limited edition Big Bang models all year long in 2007. Here is one they created for Venezuela in a limited run of 100 watches. Hublot used the country's code name YV on the dial, which means Yankee Victor in the International Radio alphabet. They left the back blank for pilots to engrave the registration number of their plane.

The movement is a Hublot HUB44 RT mechanical fly-back chronograph with automatic winding. There are 500 pieces available worldwide and they will set you back $25,000. Big Bang of the Week by HUBLOT

[ via TheWatchQuote ]

Hublot has announced yet another limited edition to their "Big Bang" line of watches, the Big Bang Tuiga. The 500 piece edition will feature the red pennants of the Yacht Club of Monaco on the dial at 9 o'clock. The Big Bang Tuiga is a fusion of stainless steel, black ceramic, black rubber, tantalum and even colorless PVD. I personally think this is one of the best looking Big Bangs to-date, but that could easily change when they make another version next week.

Mag Bang by HUBLOT

[ via Hublot ]

Hublot just introduced the Mag Bang that was made completely in-house. Hublot created a new proprietary metal that they call Hublonium, it is a fusion of aluminum and magnesium. What is really unique is that they use the same materials for the case as the movement. There are only 250 versions of this watch being produced. No word on price.

Hublot Big Bang King Porto Cervo

[ via TheWatchQuote ]

Another cool Big Bang watch with an array of materials including: white composite resin, white ceramic, white rubber and red gold. The 48 mm Hublot Big Bang King Porto Cervo looks a lot like the Big Bang Polo Club version I featured earlier this year. It seems like Hublot just keeps coming out with new Big Bang models and I don't know about you, but I like the variety.

Big Bang Polo Club St. Tropez by HUBLOT

[ via Luxist ]

Check out this cool new HUBLOT Big Bang Polo Club St. Tropez Limited Edition. It is made of steel with a white ceramic bezel and a white dial. This limited edition of 250 pieces was created to celebrate the opening of Hublot's new St. Tropez store in France. The case is 44mm with white resin lug discs, white resin lateral inserts and stainless steel push pieces with white rubber inserts. The strap is a combination of alligator skin and rubber with a steel deployment clasp. I personally think Hublot has stepped up their game lately, especially with all their Big Bang variations. Good work!

BIGGER BANG ALL BLACK by Hublot

The new BIGGER BANG ALL BLACK by Hublot follows this years hot "black" watch trend. The 44.5mm case uses both polished and brushed black ceramic. The bezel is constructed of matte black ceramic and decorated with H-shaped titanium screws. There are two really cool features on this watch, one on the front and one one on the back. From the front you can see into the watch through a matte black skeleton dial. From the back you can see the beautiful HUB1400 manual movement, which includes a chrono and a flying tourbillon, through the titanium and sapphire caseback. This black beauty costs a whopping $165,000 without using diamonds or platinum, and I love it.

Hublot Big Bang Diamond Watch

[ via Luxist ]

This one-of-a-kind Hublot Big Bang Diamond watch was featured at BaselWorld this week. This watch is a tourbillon and uses a "mystery" setting so you don't actually see the settings, only the stones (493 of diamonds). They say this watch took 2,000 hours to create and at the price of $1 million that is has already been sold for, all those man hours have been more than paid for.
