Hollywood stars Teri Hatcher and Ashton Kutcher are the newest brand ambassadors of Baume & Mercier. Both will appear in the brand’s 2008 "Baume & Mercier & Me" ad campaign which begins Jan 1. The cool thing is that all of the royalties will be donated to charity such as: the fight against cancer, the promotion of child education and helping of underpivileged women.
Here is a nice looking new entry to the Baume & Mercier lineup. It has a self-winding mechanical movement with chronograph function. Dodecagonal XXL size case (43mm) in polished/satin-finished steel with a satin-finished steel bezel, water-resistant to 100m. Black dial with silvered counters, powdered silvered Roman numerals coated with Superluminova. Date window at 3 o’clock. Rhodiumed hour, minutes and seconds hands coated with Superluminova. Screw-down case back and crown. Vulcanized rubber strap with triple folding security clasp.
The Riviera L has a diamond-set bezel (1.080 carats), mother-of-pearl dial, Roman numerals, luminescent hands and its washable white rubber strap. Equipped with an ETA 955.112 quartz movement, the watch has a date aperture at 6 o'clock and is water-resistant to 50 metres. I love this white pearl dial with diamonds and a white strap made for women.
