Here is a slideshow of some watches from the other two big Italian watch companies. Unless you read WatchTime or other industry publications you may not have ever heard of Anonimo or TB Buti. These Italian watch brands are sold throughout watch boutiques around the world. Officine Panerai gets a lot of media coverage, but these two watch brands rarely show up in the media or on the web. I checked both brands out a couple weeks ago and they look great in person.

Anonimo introduced the San Marco Dino Zei at Baselworld 2007. The movement is certified by the COSC with a 24 hour GMT function. The case is made of a non-magnetic stainless steel with a sand-blasted finish. The case is an impressive 46 mm wide and 52 mm tall. Not sure how much it costs, but you can find more at Anonimo.

[ BUY Anonimo ]

Here is a really nice watch from Anonimo called the Militaire Zulu Time. It is a GMT automatic watch with a sand blasted stainless steel case. The case is 43 mm in diameter and may not be that big, but they say the watch case is very thick. The watch features a patented crown vanishing locking device that is integrated with the watch strap. Manufactured and hand finished in patented Kodiak process calfskin to allow for extended immersion in fresh and sea water (up to 24 continuous hours). I really like Anonimo watches, but the new limited edition Shelby Mark II SE model seems like a bad use of co-branding. I cannot see why an American car icon like Carroll Shelby would choose an Italian watchmaker to make a limited edition wristwatch. I would have rather seen Hamilton or even Rolex over Anonimo. Ferrari did it right by choosing Officine Panerai to make their line of watches.
