The Corum Ti-Bridge was introduced this past March, in Basel. I did get a chance to see this exclusive timepiece, up-close. Definitely one of those stand out pieces that makes you think back to the days when Corum made the popular Bubble watches. Except this one demonstrates a much more advanced level of watchmaking know-how. It features Corum's second in-house movement, the CO 007. It is reminiscent of Corum's CO 113 caliber, which is used in the Golden Bridge. But the 007 is a totally new design.
The movement runs at 4Hz or 28,800 vph, it is manually wound and features 21 jewels. The bridge is titanium with a satin-finish and engraved Corum logo. The barrel features a snailed finish. Four triangular casing clamps hold the movement in place. So when you look through the front of the watch, all you see is the movement, the hour and minutes hands, the bottom plates and the triangle casing clamps. There is no dial. Much like the Golden Bridge watch, but more contemporary.
This slideshow features a few Corum watch photos, taken in Basel during a meeting with - Michael Wunderman (President), Lisa Delane (PR/Marketing Director) and Michel Ferracani (VP of Marketing). I had a chance to view the many pieces from the Corum collection, up-close. Of these pieces, I really liked the new Titanium Bridge and the Admiral's Cup Black Challenge 44.

Independent watchmaker Corum has pulled off a sailing double! Its partnership with the famous Okalys-Corum team pairs it with the Julius Baer Challenge's most decorated Decision 35. It is also lending its name to Switzerland 's premier regatta, the Corum Grand Prix which will be held next May 8-10 just a few miles from Geneva 's yacht club, the Société Nautique de Genève.

Corum has just announced that they will be introducing a new Admiral's Cup Chronograph, the 50 LHS, at Baselworld. The "50" denotes the case size, 50 mm, and the LHS, stands for (Left-Hand-Side), because the crown and pushers are on the left hand side of the case. The movement is a self-winding chronograph, in-house caliber CO 753, COSC certified. It runs at a frequency of 4 Hz, 28,800 vibrations/hour and uses 27 jewels.

Corum will be introducing the Golden Bridge Titanium at Baselworld 2009. This unique timepiece features a manufacture movement CO-113, a mechanical baguette movement, hand-wound by a stem at 6 o'clock. It features a slipping spring mechanism and a variable adjustable inertia balance, adjustable by screws. The movement runs at a frequency: of 4Hz or 28'800 vph. The beautiful 18k red gold hand-engraved plates and bridge are visible through any of the four sapphire crystals. One on the front, one on the back and one on each side of the case. The case is tonneau-shaped and is made of titanium, with a nice mixture of polished and satin finished surfaces. It measures 34 mm x 51 mm and features a titanium crown, decorated with a CORUM key. The Golden Bridge displays hours and minutes with black skeleton hands and a very cool no-dial design.
