Lot 170 - ROLEX REF. 5508 "JAMES BOND" GILT DIAL Rolex Oyster Perpetual, 100m = 330ft, Submariner, case No. 489701, Ref. 5508. Made in 1958. Fine and rare, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel diver's wristwatch. Accompanied by a fitted box."

Revealed at Baselworld, the Corum Admiral's Cup Legend 46 Minute Repeater Acoustica is the first minute repeater with 4 gongs that produce 4 notes - two chords at the same time for hours and two for minutes.
The Acoustica comes in Corum's signature dodecagonal shaped 46 mm x 14.44 mm case. The case, bezel crown and crown protector are in grade 5 titanium. There is no dial, instead the hours markers are engraved on the flange, allowing for a perfect view into the hand decorated mechanical movement. The hour and minute hands are dauphine-variant shaped that have been skeletonzied and Rhodium coated.

"The Russian Orthodox Church admitted on Thursday to altering an image on its Web site to remove a watch worn by its leader. The alteration was discovered this week by Russian bloggers who suggested that the deleted watch was an expensive timepiece Patriarch Kirill has admitted he owns but claims to never wear."
The person who edited the photo forgot one thing while erasing the watch on the Patriarch's wrist; the watch reflection on the glossy table. (Click the image above and then click the "Next" button and the watch will disappear.)

One of Tissot's coolest introductions at Baselworld 2012 was not a watch, it was actually a clock - the Tissot T-Clock. It is a mechanical table clock that is manually wound, has 11 jewels, a power reserve of 8 days and it runs at 18,000 vph. The cover is in blown mineral glass. Available in October for a retail of $2,400.

Introduced at Baselworld 2012, the Seiko SNDD61 Chronograph features a black IP treated stainless steel case, Japenese powered quartz chronograph, Hardlex crystal, screw down caseback, a urethane strap and 100 meter water-resistance. It will be available in August for a retail of $300.

Eco friendly California based Swiss made watch brand Xetum recently introduced stainless steel bracelets as option for their entire collection. The bracelet was originally launched in September of 2011. This is the first up-close look at the new steel bracelet.
