'The Legend' wristwatch was produced by Omega in honor of their long time brand ambassador Michael Schumacher. Although I am sure most of you know who Michael Schumacher is, for those of you who do not, he is a 7-time Formula One world champion. Of the many famous people who have watches named after themselves, Schumacher is definitely one of the most deserving.
The Omega 'The Legend' Co-Axial chronograph has a 44.25 mm stainless steel case with and anti-reflective sapphire crystal on both sides. The black aluminum bezel lists some of Schumacher's greatest racing achievements, including his 91 victories. Next years model may need to list a MotoGP win, although chances are he will probably stick with to amateur motorcycle racing. He did crash his first motorcycle race this year, but this 39 year old does not give up easily. He is already scheduled to race again later this year. He is even involved in making high performance motorcycle helmets now.
The dial of the Omega watch is made from carbon fiber, a material widely used in the production of high-performance racing machines. The dial shows off chronograph 12-hour and 30-minute counters with distinctively contrasting silver rings. One more original design feature - the hours of 1 to 7 feature Arabic numerals implying Michael Schumacher's record seven Formula One World Titles.
