Alpnach Mechanical Chronograph by VICTORINOX

[ via SwissTime ]

Victorinox Swiss Army models are generally very popular, and I am sure the new Alpnach Mechanical Chronograph will be no exception. The Alpnach line is named after the heliport base for Cougar helicopters, which is the pride of the Swiss Army. The 43 mm case is two-tone made of 316L steel and black PVD. The signature of the watch is a 4-blade rotor that is used to display seconds at 9 o'clock. Of the standard functions the most notable is the countdown timer. The movement is an automatic chrono Valjoux 7750 with a 46-hour power reserve. No word on availability or price, but expect to pay at least $1000.

Comments

It is the back that utilizes a
mineral crystal.

Thanks Greg!

The press release says otherwise, but I will clarify the type of crystal used when I go the Baselworld fair in a couple hours.

Sorry ? it's not a mineral crytal but a sapphire like all the line !
