Ventura V-Tec Sigma

Here is a Ventura V-Tec Sigma. Ventura is a wristwatch company out of Switzerland who has just launched a campaign for their new line of all digital watches. I have seen their ads popping up everywhere, including my new issue of WatchTime magazine. It appears they are exclusively making electronic watches.

They aren't really new; they've been around since the 90s. They were some of the first to use ceramic in their crystals, before Rado and others adopted the practice. A year or two ago, they announced that they were dropping all automatic movements for quartz. They were known for their clean design and high quality, but were never hugely popular. Perhaps this "version 2" of Ventura will be a bigger hit...
