Here is a nice image of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner Date Watch, 50th Anniversary Edition. It has a 40mm stainless steel case, green time lapse bezel, black dial, and Oyster Fliplock Bracelet. It is water resistant to 1000 feet. Produced to mark the 50th anniversary of the Rolex Submariner, this special edition Submariner has a unique green bezel and larger hour markers than the standard Submariner Date.

Got a Rolex Submariner 50th Anniversary Edition from a authentic dealer for my birthday from my family. Have since 20 years a black submariner, but I like the green one much better...
Wasn´t cheap but on the other hand the family isn´t poor.

I still have not seen one in person, but I see the black bezel version all over. So I am sure the exclusivity is an added bonus.

I have been wearing my 50th Aniversary Submariner since the day I bought in new from an Authorized Rolex Dealer in October 2006. This is my first Rolex and I love it , get complimented on it all the time and know I am wearing the real thing. It really stands out compared to the black bezel version. I really like the larger hands and hr. markers. Even other Rolex owners say what a cool model this is !

What a way to celebrate all your years of hard work. Congrats!

I just purchased my Anniversary Sub Green Bezel from an authorized dealer brand new in box. It took me 27 years of US military service to get the watch I wanted but have it as of today. I know this will be passed on when I am long gone. With great pride....keith

As far as price it sounds like a good deal to me. http://www.chrono24.com/en/search/index.htm?searchexplain=1&MODEL=rolex+50th+anniversary&x=0&y=0&dosearch=1&ausstartpage=1

Here are some questions to ask:

Condition?
Return Policy?
What country is it from?
What are the serial numbers? (very important) you can use this to contact Rolex and verify if it is genuine.

I want to buy the 50 Annivbersry model with the green dial. This place has one and they want $4400 is an 2006, no papers, but is real and come with a Rolex box and some papers but not all. What you think.l

Dear sirs,

Does a Submariner with Black metallic wristband exist ?
does a Submariner with entire red face and stainless steel bracelet exist ?
Thank you for your answers.
Best regards

Can anyone help me? Received a Rolex 50th anniv f-series. Does the "swiss made" cover the top of the five mark or within the three mark? My f series is within the three mark. Took it to an authorized Rolex dealer that verified the watch is authentic.

Since 2000 I have had a Rolex Submariner Black/Black Date and I love the watch I never take it off my wrist. I bought it for $3210.00 New form a Authorized rolex dealer in my home town. I love the Anniversary one but really don't want to put out the money for a watch I basicaly already have. So I went to ebay and for $10 dollar I bought a After market Green Bezel and switched my Black bezel with a green one and it looks wonderful and didn't have to spend 6+Grand on a watch again.

The Rolex is a very popular model. Breitling and Zenith are excellent watches as well. Does Tourneau carry all three brands?

Just got my green bezel for my birthday and I own Breitlings and Zenith with Primero movement ,very nice and quality made watch .got it from Tourneau 10% off.....

Just a word of advice to all. A true Anniversary is one what was released in 2003 for celebration of 50 years which was in 2004. When this watch was released it typically only went to the elite collectors. Mayors, one of Rolex's largest retailers only sold the watch to members of the Mayor's un-talked about Diamond club (customers that have spent in access of 500k) Since 2003 Rolex has continued to produce the watch but availability has become abundant. Nowadays, anyone can get one. So remember, don't buy a current Anniversary Sub thinking it will be more valuable.. only the 03's are and will be.

As for all the comments regarding "Fake" Rolex's... the only thing i want to say is, it is true that most people cannot afford certain possessions but think of the impact on one's character when those you are trying to impress discover that the watch is not real.

LV Stands for "Lunette Verde", Green Bezel.

Pls help. What's LV stands for? Is it "Limited Version"? I noticed that some of the rolex 50th anniv edition has just "V" into it. Does the limited version apply for the 2003 issues? How about the 2008 reissues w/o the hologram (w/c new rolexes have), are they still limited?

ROLEX IS ENDING THE ANIV. PRODUCTION THIS DECEMBER 08. THE DIFERENCE WITH THE OTHER SUBMARINER IS BASICALLY THE GREEN BEZEL AN THE LARGER HOUR INDICATORS.

ALWAYS TRY TO BUY THE ORIGINAL, I YOU CANT BUY AN OMEGA, TAG, LONGINES, ZENO ET AL...YOU LL FEEL BETTER HAVING AN ORIGINAL OF THE ABOVE THAN THE BEST COPY OF ANYTHING...

Very nice! A Rolex is a great sign of achievement.

i just bought my green sub and it is my first rolex ... feel proud of it ; )

I have an authentic green sub LV that I bought from an authorized dealer. If you look at the 6 o'clock position and imagine the 28th and 32nd minute markers being field goal posts, the "swiss made" barely fits inside of the posts. I hope this helps. GREAT WATCH! I see a lot of standard black subs and Sea Dwellers, but I have yet to see someone wearing a green sub. This is a perfect watch for someone who wants to be original and traditional in one swing.

Check Rolex.com or go to an Authorized Dealer and check one out in person. What is the dealer/person charging? Do you have protection if you want to return it? If so you could buy it and have it checked by an Authorized dealer? Does is have papers? Be careful and good luck!

I have come across the green submariner (LV) which has the words "swiss made" span or rather touch only 3 minute markers at the 6 0'clock position.I was told the genuine version spans across 5 minute markers. Can anyone verify if this is true?

I have an old black Submariner and recently bought the anniversary green edition. It is wonderfull...everyone stares at it and you can spot the real one even next to the best fake from 100 yards.
People who own the original know what I mean.
The money is a lot, but as mentioned before the value goes up not down.
Someone ask me for my old submariner 7000 and I said no.
How much would the fake cost in 33 years....

I just purchased my Aniversary Submariner yesterday and I love it

Invest in real Rolex. I've got mine in 1977 A Submariner 5513 when graduated from Dive School.
Everybody envies it.
Serves me till today. I manage to buy a used piece for USD3,000-00 and passed it to my son.
It goes with pride.

I just purchased my Aniversary Submariner yesterday and I love it. Got it at Tourneau so Im pretty sure its real :)

I am in my 30's and fortunate enough to have two rolex watches, one being a submariner. I constantly get people asking if mine are real. Now, there are some really good fakes out there, and my jeweler had to tell a guy recently that his was fake. You get what you pay for, that guy's resale value=$0, my resale value=$6,000.

I am sure you can find one if you really want to waste $200 on a piece of junk fake.

Do you know if its possible that I buy one of those counterfeit Rolexs for arround 200$?? I like the model and I dont want to pay for the gold and silver!

Do you think Rolex will ever stop making the Green Submariner? If so when do you think they will call it a day for them? Cheers.

It's difference from another rolex.

The green is Rolex green and it is used to celebrate the brand's 50th Anniversary.

I have a question rather than a comment. Do you know the significance of the green bezel? Why not another color?
