New Rolex GMT-Master II

Here is a Rolex GMT-Master II with a new dial and new movement. It looks pretty good and you can never go wrong with a Rolex. I have to admit Rolex is one of my favorite brands.

The serial number on the caseback of the watch should tell you what year it was made. Take the number and Google search it or contact Rolex with the number and they should be able to help.

Any one thats got something bad to say about the GMT 2 has simply got to get there head seen to by a surgeon that can alter the disfunctional part of there brain! Ive just bought the s/s version and as above, canot take my eyes off it!! It quite simply is the best day to day watch Rolex Has EVER made! I got a £20 discount (£3400) and it made my day,it was just enough to go to the pub and cellabrate with!! What a watch!!!

I just received my new Rolex GMT Master II, steel and 18k gold version..In a word..Fantastic!Absoutely stunning and keeps flawless time.I go taway from Rolex for several years and wore Breitlings..which constantly wound up back at the breitling repair center...In my opinion, Breitlings are just well advertised crap and not worth the high price..The Rolex was expensive (tipped the register at just over $8K, but well worth it..I love my new GMT Master II and have no regrets about buying it..the styling is classic and timeless!

The Master 2 with a green bezel is my first leap into the world of Rolex.Over the years I've owned a variety of watches but this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. When I'm wearing it I can't help looking at it all the time, it's that beautiful. I don't see what the first reviewer is so disappointed about. There's no nit-picking about this GMT 2.

I have owned several Rolex watches, but this one I think is the one I like best. Almost perfect! Only the solid gold version tops this twotone model. I also own a Datejust twotone (new model). That one is beautiful with the black roman sunbeam dial that i chose for my watch. There`s never any problems with a Rolex timepiece, and I have become a big fan over the years.

Any possibility or rumor of Rolex updating the Submariner as well?

Does someone know if new GMT Master II (Steel) is on the stores and how much does it cost?
Thanks,

The one thing I like this new model more than the classic ones is the font used on the bezel.

A winner! Rolex has brought the GMTII up several notches (IMO, many notches). Its no longer the ugly stepchild (with the exception of the timeless the red/blue classic) to the Submariner...it stands on its own as a fantastic Rolex. This will be an "hard to find/must have" Rolex for some time. Bravo!

An absolutely amazing watch. Rolex did this 100% right this time. I've always had my gripes on various Rolex models, and this led me to sell most of mine and go towards Audemars Piguet. This watch however was love at first sight/touch. they pretty much fixed everything about the GMT and Sub that I didn't like.. from the new clasp, to the bezel, or the crown.. this GMT is perfection. The only problem with it is the price... close to $9000 for a two tone Rolex is getting awfully high.. and no discounts, not even a meager 5%
I highly recommend this watch.

I recently handled the new Anniversary GMT II at my local AD. Here are my thoughts. The engineering seems impressive. However, there are some characteristics that I don't like. The bezel is an example. It only clicks on the hour; half hours can't be measured. This isn't an efficient tool for measuring time. The triple-lock crown is also problematic. Why put this type of crown on the watch if the water resistance is still 330 feet? It seems to be a decision that is completely about form rather than function. The case is hefty, but it isn't as symmetrical because of the 22-millimeter band (the size of the band on the original GMT). Now, it seems top heavy. The heftier case seems to be just a bow to fad rather than a feature that improves the look of the watch. The maxi dial in the inner ring (that says "Rolex Rolex Rolex") is too obtrusive and cheapens the timepiece. This is something one would expect to find on a lower-end watch. The 24-hour hand that is green (at least on the one that I viewed) looks like a blade of grass under the crystal. On a positive note, though, the new solid band and clasp are excellent. As for the movement, time will tell (literally). I feel that this anniversary edition is more for Submariner lovers than GMT lovers. Perhaps I wouldn't have been so disappointed if this new model had been named the Submariner GMT; at least I might have known what to expect.
In short, I'll stick to the older style.

Nice, a classic watch, but I prefer the red/blue bezel.
